Twelve Photographers Speak – A Collection Of YouTube Videos
The journey to becoming a photographer means that you spend time with other photographers. In today’s digital world, spending time does not necessarily mean “to be in the presence of” — although that is always best. Here are videos of twelve photographers; all of whom I admire for their images, all of whom have influenced how I look at the world.
Richard Avedon: Darkness & Light
Paul Caponigro
John Paul Caponigro
Joe McNally Climbs The Empire State Building
Annie Leibovitz Shoots Marie Antoinette
Drew Gardner Shoots Helen Pankhurst – Descendants Series
Masters of Photography Diane Arbus Part 1
Helmut Newton by June Newton
Joel Meyerowitz Photographs Ground Zero
John Sexton Talks About B&W In A Digital Age
Walter Iooss on Sports Photography
Surf Photographer Art Brewer

What a brilliant collection of videos. I’ve had the most fabulous time working through these, and look forward to going back and viewing the larger works.
Thank you!
Thank you so much, this is such and inspiring collection!
Thanks for the posting all these fine videos… It’s great and inspiring to listen and see their work.
I once was at a track and field event in Los Angeles (early/mid 1990’s) where I first saw Walter Iooss. Since I shoot primarily sports, it was a little intimidating to see him there.
I, like many others have seen his sports stuff throughout the years and to this day, I still marvel at it all.
It was interesting to hear him in the video and see his progression from editorial to commercial work…
Thanks.

Amazing collection. Thanks for hunting them down and posting them in one place. There are probably many others out there but one I found fascinating is a documentary abut Brian Duffy called something like “The Man Who Shot the Sixties”. It is on the Duffy website and may also be on Youtube or similar.
