During its first week out in the wild, the Speedliter’s Handbook has received 18 five-star reviews from readers on Amazon.com. (To read them, click here.) I am grateful for and humbled by each one. To all who have written a review or sent their compliments, thank you!

Every review helps. If you’ve had time to check out the Handbook, please write an online review somewhere. A few minutes of your time will help fellow Speedliters–around the corner or around the globe.

For my friends in the UK and elsewhere, I have it on good authority that your books are on the way! The wholesale lot shipped from the publisher the same day that the book was released in the US. Hopefully they’ve finished the passage across the Atlantic already.

Likewise, if you want to buy the Handbook at a local bookshop in North America, the inventory is making its way through the various levels of the wholesale distribution chain.

To my friends down under, I heard from a Speedliter in Australia who said that the copy he ordered through Book Depository had already arrived. Wow, that’s fast! Book Depository (linked below) ships worldwide for free!

The gang at Gulf Photo Plus in Dubai has a pile of Handbooks headed their way. When they arrive, the Handbook will be listed in their bookstore here.

Finally, I learned about Flipkart in India this week. It’s great to know that they are making the Handbook available to my many friends there. Flipkart provides free home delivery throughout India. For their link, check out the list below.

Amazon.co.uk still states the book has yet to released:

This title has not yet been released.
You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives.

    I've pre-ordered & look forward to receiving a copy! 🙂

  2. Pamela says:

Syl, thank you for spending your life learning so that you could create this book. Thank you for helping me to be a better photographer. Again, thank you for sharing.

  3. Paul Boyd says:

Placed my order as soon as your book appeard on Amazon in the UK. Would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of the work you have put into your site (for free) and I am very much looking forward to reading the book. You have inspired me to use off camera flash over the last couple of years and it has improved my images immensely.
    Again many thanks

  7. Sharon Merredew says:

Amazon uk said yesterday about my order enquiry:-
Our latest information indicates that "Speedliter's Handbook: Learning to Craft Light with Canon Speedlites" has not yet been released and the expected release date is not known. As soon as a release date has been determined for this item, we will add that information to our website.
Do you know where they are available in the uk?

  8. Got mine a few days ago. Half way through. Excellent. I'll be blogging about it this week!

  9. Lars says:

I got my book today in Sweden from http://www.adlibris.com/se/
The book looks great. I better get back to it now.

Could somebody please talk to Amazon.co.uk. I've had the handbook on preorder all of December and expected it to arrive this week. Just give me a date, I don't care if it's in Feburary, just let me know when to expect this thing.. I. Can't. Wait. To. Read. Why does it have to be so hard to get a book that's already shipping and being reviewed in the U.S. to get to Europe? Blame my impatient genes, but I just can't wait any longer. Might have to read a Nikon book on flash… Eeeek… I feel like I'm missing out, here. I need a hug….

  11. Tim says:

Is there going to be any possibility for getting this is a digital format, such as Kindle, maybe? My wife fuses at me cause we don't have much more room for printed books.

  12. cwmbranps says:

I share the frustration of everyone in the UK. I have had my copy on order with amazon for over a month, and no-one seems to know when it's going to be available.
Did someone throw the consignment overboard on the way across?
I have bought my 24foot ETTL II cable from FlashZebra, so I'm all set to get Speedliting – but NO BOOK!!

  13. David says:

I have canceled my order from Amazon.co.uk to order the book from Bookdepository the 10th January. My order status is "dispatched" since the 12th January… Same price for France.

  14. Antje King says:

Dear customers, due to a major freight issue during the holiday season, Syl's new book was delayed in reaching the UK . The issue has now been rectified and we expect the books to arrive soon in our distribution centre. We hope to have stock with Amazon.co.uk and other retailers next week. Best regards, A. King, Pearson UK

  15. Donald says:

Amazon UK just issued an e-mail today to say that the book should be shipping out between Feb 1st and 3rd.

  16. Stuart Mackenzie says:

Yep. Got mine ( from Amazon UK) now.:D

  17. Aidan says:

Received my copy this morning from Amazon UK. Not had chance to do more than flick through so far but really looking forward to reading it and trying out the advice.

    • Lars Frederiksen says:

I am in the same situation 🙂 Finally Amazon UK has delivered in Denmark also. They shipped the thing one month after its US release, but better late than never, right? Can't wait to sit down with this thing, my camera and flash close at hand and LEARN. And can't wait to experiment. Big Thank You to Syl for writing and compiling this collection of useful information.
